The World Forum on Energy Regulation (WFER) is the leading international conference on energy regulation, held only once every three years. Key energy industry players, high-level policymakers, academics and regulators from all over the world gather here to engage in strategic and meaningful conversations.

Discussions on regulatory frameworks and best practices are led under the framework of the International Confederation of Energy Regulators (ICER). ICERis a voluntary cooperation mechanism between energy regulators from around the globe, comprising more than 200 regulatory authorities, represented by national and regional associations. ICER’s main goal is to improve public and policy-maker awareness and understanding of energy regulation and its role in addressing a wide spectrum of socio-economic, environmental and market issues.

The seventh edition of the World Forum on Energy Regulation will take place in Cancun on March 20-23, 2018. Located in the heart of the Mexican Caribbean, Cancun is a world-class destination known for its hospitality industry, international connectivity and crystal-clear ocean.
