The High Performance Incubation Bootcamp for PTI-Brazil

In March of 2018, NGIN management received a comprehensive introduction to Parque Technologico Itaipu (PTI) and the Santos Dumont Incubator and Business Condominium (SDIBC) during a five day on-site session in Brazil, in the state of Paraná. This led to the proposal and implementation of a custom program to facilitate the development of PTI’s incubation activities to take place in Los Angeles in June 2018.

The NGIN High Performance Innovation Systems bootcamp was conceived by Fred Walti, co-founder of LACI and CEO during each of the years that UBI reviewed and rated LACI in the top ten incubators annually over 1200 incubators in 50-plus countries. Now as NGIN’s founder and CEO, NGIN leadership, augmented by the LACI experiences and staff, offered bootcamp participants an intensive one-week program that provides tools, techniques, experiential learning and take-away materials to bridge identified gaps, offer insight and build a foundation that participants can leverage to accelerate innovation in Brazil.

NGIN tailored its High Performance Innovation Systems Bootcamp to meet relevant topics to the SDIBC team. The following are expected outcomes of the program:

• Develop a baseline of the current skills, capabilities, tools and techniques provided by the Santos Dumont Incubator.
• Present participants with relevant tools and techniques gathered from virtual discussions with bootcamp participants and learnings from previous program participants. It will include experiential activities to bridge identified gaps between the Santos Dumont Incubator and NGIN’s experience in building a global top-ten incubator and associated ecosystems.
• Assist the Santos Dumont Incubator develop methodologies and metrics to monitor implementation of specific elements.
• Provide virtual support to assist the Santos Dumont Incubator execute bootcamp elements.
