Other Recent ActivitiesThe signing of new member PTI-Brazil capped a week of activities hosted by PTI including tours of projects in biogas, organic medicine, sodium battery technology and electric vehicles. A highlight was a private tour of Itaipu Binational, the world’s largest generator of renewable clean energy. It is the world record holder of annual energy production at 103.1 million MWh. Itaipu is a binational undertaking operated by Brazil and Paraguay at the border between the two countries completed in 1984.
